Soviet Navy Buckle | ||||
I am not sure of the period of this buckle it is crudely made and has the modern belt fastening on the back side. I guess I liked at because it is so crudely made. The construction is much more massive than the later buckles both in the thickness and the size of the catch. No maker marks.

FREIKORPS HEIMWEHR STEIERMARK BUCKLE
I have had this in my collection since 1984 when I purchased it and other material from a local vet. It has been put away with my buckle collection and now they are coming to light after their rest in the buckle box. In the mid 1920's Major Has Von Panckh began a formation of Freikorps Heimwehr Steiemark or Free Corps Home Defense Styria. This buckle is listed in Angolias book on page 391 & 392 as the Home Defense Personal of the Steiemark and is of two piece construction. This buckle is fastened by three rivets instead of the light brass wire or the solder as shown in the book. The buckle is a dull gray finish and the shield with the rampant standing dragon is with full detail. This is a rare buckle and I have not seen another in the past 20 plus years of collecting. LUFT BELT BUCKLE LAST DITCH BELT?
I picked up a most usual belt and buckle combination that I have never seen before. The buckle is a standard Luft aluminum by Gustav Brehmer with wear on the eagle body. The belt is what is so different, it is a thin piece of leather with raw edges, the buckle placement is just two sets of holes punched into the leather and the hook is a stamped flat piece of steel that I have never seen before and the belt is slit for the hook to go through and then the leather is bent back with no stitching to hold the hook. It sure looks alike a minimum of work to produce a belt that could fit many sizes. There is a large waffen amp mark on the leather marked WA446. I have shown this to many old time collectors and no one has seen anything like this before. Where the buckle is placed there is wear there. Condition very good ++

SS PORTABLE TYPEWRITER
This Olympia typewriter is a veteran family purchase and is in the field case to protect it. The case is named to a Miss Naylor from Lt. Naylor 143rd Inf. Regt. The box is a light brown finish and in great condition. The case has internal locks to prevent the typewrite from moving around. The typewrites is a gray finish with a standard white Olympia decal on it there are no other SS or property markings on it The typewriter itself needs a good oiling and as I tried it out some of the keys do not return very fast. The no 5, SS key works fine, funny I forgot how hard you had to push the keys to get the typewriter to work. The ink ribbon is there but dried out, what is good is the spools are there so the ribbon can be replaced and you can complete those documents you have laying around. A neat display item from the SS. Condition very good ++

I am unsure exactly what came in this box but it is camo and cool! It is three color like we would see on a "Normandy" type camo helmet. It is marked "KL. SS TK Luger Holster
This was purchased on a hotel buy from the family of the vet. It is only the second one I have ever seen, the other my friend Jeff has and was purchased from the vet. Both are identical and made by the same company. Researching these on the WAF, the real ones people believe in also conform tot his one. I personally love "stuff" like this! Anyway, it is well used but still in usable condition. The TK is stamped on the front flap and the maker on the reverse side is H.EGER & LINDE SELIGENTHAL/TH 1938

10 x 80FLAK BINOCULARS | ||||
This set just came out of a barn recently its somewhat dirty but the green paint will clean up as new. This set is stamped DF 10 x 80 the DF stands for double telescope the next line is X in Blue to denote the lubricant code for certain weather then dkl for the maker Schneider at Kreuznach Germany then a red X for the same reason as the blue x. The serial number is 42681. What is great about this set is that everything works freely and the head rest is an original one and complete with no major cracks or chunks missing. The sun shades are there with a small dent at the end of one, the internal sun shade lenses are complete and work. The knob for sizing the separate lenses works just fine. The only down side is yes you can use them as is but the lenses need cleaning inside for a 100% clear view. The lenses have have a cross less the center to center the binoculars on. This set is one of the best I have come across in the in quite a while. Condition very good +

Golden Book of Pilots - Goldene Buch Der Flieger
This is the ultra rare book that was awarded to
Luftwaffe Pilots that distinguished themselves in combat and 37 (known)
were awarded this certificate by Goring. I personally purchased this
from a vet over 30 years ago and it has been sitting in my basement in
storage all this time. This certificate is in its original blue case with the embossed droop tail eagle on the cover, the inside cover is black paper and a gold boarder. The document is printed on the front of a two piece paper that is held in the book by the typical twisted cord. The document is not named or signed by Goring but still a rare Luft item. The edges of the pages have started to turn brown with age, and the cover is slightly turning up on the edges. It needs to be pressed back into shape. I have only seen a couple that were presented and signed and they went for five figures. |

This came from the same vet with the golden Fleiger book; basically it is an invitation to the house of the flyer on Prinze Albert Street. The number 12 00 44 is a phone number, extension 120. There is a small smug on the top right of the eagle other than that the embossed eagle is with full detail also it is an early droop tail eagle.

German Soldier Metal Desk Ornament
Here is a great Desk Ornament of a WWII German soldier side view wearing a M16 Transitional Helmet showing the early national color decal. This ornament is made of metal and can be displayed by itself with a swing out post or mounted on the wall with a flange to hook on a screw or nail. This side view has about 50 percent of the silver finish missing which does not deter the ideal soldier’s military look. This side view is similar to the ones used on photo albums. This is a great display item without the objectionable swastika on the helmet. No maker marks are present. Approximately 5 x 4.5 inches.

I love these! If you guys can't tell I am having a great time with militaria lately! I always love getting my hands on these, they are one of my loves! The back is marked LOK 680, which refers tot he length and has their TM above it, look at the pictures. It also mentions the composition of the elements used to make it Aluminum, Magnesium and silicone. There is one thin spot on the left wing I photographed, I can not find it form the front, It is super small and non detracting. It has traces of paint around the edges and perhaps some tape that was used to hang it at one point. I am sure you easily remove it but then again, you really don't see it so I would leave it alone.

LARGE REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM PROPAGANDA FLYER
I never learned how to read Vietnamese while there but this is obviously and propaganda item for a battle that the RVN won. This is a large poster that is 10.5" wide by 16" high. I never saw a Vietnamese soldier on a horse before looks good trampling the NVA flag. The poster list 300 VC killed and I believe 300 that surrendered or Choi Hoyed to the government side. There are two photos are the weapons captured and then listed the amount of each weapon. The reverse is a large flag of RVN. I have always liked the unusual military items and this fits the bill. 1989 Humvee
I use my wants and desires as a means to judge what I buy as a dealer. Since I am still a collector I seem to know what you guys like and it helps me sell. This Humvee is something I though I could play with until someone buys it. It is a lot of fun and I dread the day someone buys it but when it goes I will try another type of military vehicle for a while. This one is one of the best you will find around. Usually these are beat and almost beyond repair. This one is not perfect but still one of the best you will find, I have been told this many times by people in the field. I have had a lot of mechanical work done to it, nothing major just small little fixes. The worst was the starter which is now new. The paint is now new and looks really awesome! My wife is bugging me about selling it so it has to go eventually but I am in no hurry. Eventually I will probably get new tires and small little tid-bits here and there, I al looking for a floor pad set. There is very little it will need from you to have it 100%, it is just about there now. |

Is side is a times letter dated 1954 to Mrs. Marsland Reid, she must have re-married by then living in Rome N.Y. The information I have on 2nd Lt.
