2007 Championship Point System
Ranks of Divine Ascension Award
Every prize won will increment the player's standing on The Ranks of Divine Ascension by one. This award never impacts the championship in any way, nor do any championship rules ever modify this award. It is mentioned here for purposes of clarity.
A player can only be awarded a single standard championship prize per night. Any additional prizes won during the same night do not award a standard championship point.
The Treacherous Triple Award
If a player wins three prizes in the same night, he is awarded a bonus championship point. Additional prizes won after the third do not award additional bonuses or penalties.
The Black Star of the Heartless Hero
If a player wins four or more prizes in the same night, he loses all championship points for that night. A medal will be presented for this award on The Ranks of Divine Ascension. This is not an optional choice.
The Black Star of the Heartless Hero medals will be the first consideration in determining tiebreakers.
Each Black Star of the Heartless Hero medal is worth 1 championship point in the Final Elimination.
Special Event Prizes
All Hallow's Eve: Only awards a medal. Non-championship prize.
There may be additional Special Event Prizes.
Chris is a Cursed Player for the duration of the 2007 Championship.
All prizes won by a Cursed Player return to the current pool of available prizes. All prizes won by a Cursed Player and returned to the prize pool are subjected to the permanent modifications below. The modifications are applied to the base point value of each individual prize and are cumulative. Cursed Players are forbidden to win the same prize more than twice. Cursed Player rules do not apply to Special Event Prizes.
First Time Won Modification:
The prize is worth zero (0) championship points. The prize no longer
affects the championship in any manner unless won again by a Cursed Player. It cannot be included in the
calculation or awarding of any bonus points.
Second Time Won Modification: The prize is worth negative one (-1) championship points. Except for the negative championship point award, the prize no longer affects the championship in any manner unless won again by a Cursed Player. It cannot be included in the calculation or awarding of any bonus points.
